One Of Several Reasons

 My mother is heavy and increasingly increasingly prone to buckle at the knees and I said several weeks ago that I was going to stop moving her between the bed and the commode because of the risk she'll end up on the floor and/or I'll strain my back but there are times I can't avoid it- like when she calls and I go in and find her already perched on the edge of the bed and feeling for the arm of the commode- which has happened twice in the last twelve hours.  

This is one reason- there are others- why we need to rehome her. 

My sister has found a nursing home in Godalming that we think will suit. I'm hoping we'll be able to seal the deal later  today.

We go through an assessment procedure this afternoon, then they think about it and make us an offer- or not- on Monday- after which if all is well we arrange the transfer...
