Or maybe it's more than a stone's throw. A stone's throw is always less far than you think it's going to be. I sit on the beach and throw a stone and think it's going to land far out- plop- in the water and it barely hits the tideline. Gravity is weightier than my imagination. Don't ask me to chuck a grenade across into the enemy trench. I can't judge distances. It'd land in No Man's land and do further damage to the corpses that are already lying out there. I'd be no good in a war.
