In-Between Times

poliphiloIf we're going to be paying to have things packed there seems little point in me packing things now- except that it gives me something to do in these in-between times. I potter therefore I am.
I've been doing Wordle for a week now. It hasn't beaten me yet.
I watched the Sisters Brothers last night- a goodish rendition of a very good novel (by Patrick de Witt). The novel is more fantastical, more dreamy than the film- which tilts towards realism and exists as a vehicle for John C Reilly to upgrade himself from character actor to star- and get some rootin'-tootin', gun-smokin' action under his belt in spite of looking and sounding like Oliver Hardy (which is the last role I saw him in). He's excellent, everyone is excellent- but the stand-out performance comes from Riz Ahmed- in a role which- if memory serves me right) has been expanded and deepened from what exists on the page.
