Ailz loves the kitchen. I love the view of the Downs.
The estate agent thinks the sellers- one of those companies that buy up properties in need of love, do them over and sell them on- are probably out of the office during the holiday period so we won't get a response immediately.
I've been talking to Julia about the garden. (Note to self: don't assume it belongs to you until it actually does.) At the moment it's a lawn with a path down the middle- and a few shrubs up against the fence- and has what Lancelot Brown called "capabilities". My priority would be to plant a hawthorn tree. Julia says she could dig up one of the ones that are growing all over the farm and we could take it with us...
