I've gotten into the bad habit of chucking old Amazon boxes into one of the compartments of the stable block- and they've been piling up and piling up. Yesterday, with the prospect of potential buyers coming to visit, we asked Julia to sort them out- and she's reduced a Mont Blanc of cardboard to a neat little pile in the corner of the room. I am enormously impressed because I wouldn't have known where to start. I have been in and out of there this morning, picking out boxes to put Christmas presents in ahead of the family get together on Saturday.

You're not the only one re: hoarding Amazon boxes, especially at holiday time.

They do come in useful. I've been using them for Christmas presents and shortly I'll be using them to pack things up in preparation for the move.
