poliphilo...It wouldn't surprise me if the reason the police gave the Plymouth shooter his license back was because they felt sorry for him.

Only weak people aren't harmless. They're prone to doing destructive things to give themselves the illusion of power. Shooters are in a continuum that includes the folk who sneak round killing cats, the writers of poison pen letters, internet trolls, bosses who sexually assault their employees and politicians who take their countries into war...
