The Days Of Our Years...

A big party had been mooted for my 70th. It would probably have involved everyone dressing up as pirates. But then the pandemic happened.

There was a lot of Zooming. Kind things were said. The final Zoom developed into a game of Pictionary- which the kids love.

I've always thought of 70 as one of the more significant milestones. Psalm 90 will be to blame for that. "The days of our years are threescore years and ten..."

The first thing I read this morning was an interview with Judy Dench. She's sharing a house with her grandson and fretting at not being able to work because of lockdown. Judy Dench is 86.

So, this the part where we wish you a very happy 70th birthday? :D You look 58 and not a day over.

I would dress as a pirate too just to participate in spirit but I don't really have the right clothes. Well, I do have one shirt with big, white sleeves and one plastic sword that looks like it came from He-Man. XD

That's it. I'm now 70 years and one day old.

I have a three cornered hat- as worn by Long John Silver. I have a rapier too- though a cutlass would be more appropriate.

Well, I can be a fantasy-type pirate and you a gentleman pirate. XD Does Ailz dress up? What kind of a pirate does she make? :)

Last time she dressed up it was as Lizzie Borden, the axe murderer.

I see! Now my fantasy pirate feels weak and hides behind the mast. ;D That is so cool anyway and dress-up parties are fun. I held one way back when. Attendees were one Blues Brother, two forest elves, a gentleman of the early 19:th century, a princess and a teenager. XD

If you ever feel comfortable posting pictures of your costumes, I would love to see. Cut heads off if people don't want to show them. :) If they are still comfortable showing their customers, that is.
