Restoring The Balance
Jun. 12th, 2020 11:18 amFor every statue of a general or admiral there should be a statue of one of the victims of war.
For every statue of a royal personage there should be a statue of a pauper.
For every statue of a millowner there should be a statue of a mill girl.
For every statue of a "philanthropist" there should be a statue of a slave.
In fact for every single statue of an oppressor or man of violence there should be hundreds and thousands of statues of their victims. Lets get the proportions right in art as in life.
Or how about if we just clear the clutter off our streets and squares and put in trees and flowerbeds instead?
