The Animals Move Back In

Soon after the lockdown began goats were filmed wandering through the streets of Llandudno- the seaside town in North Wales. Normally they live on the headland known as the Great Orme- but with the streets vacated what was to stop them exploring?

Similar stories keep appearing. This morning brought pictures of a goose who has laid her eggs in a raised flowerbox on the concourse of the railway station in York.

We are getting the big local raptors, red kites and buzzards, hawking over the town.

The crows don't like it much! :o)

I haven't actually visited any town for over a month.

Less delightfully, we spotted a rat running around the garden this afternoon. I know they say you're never more than six feet away from one, but still. We think it was probably being more adventurous as all the local cats are being kept indoors at the moment.

We've had rats living in flower beds near the house. The cat sits and watches them play.
I haven't seen any recently. Our friend J brings her terrier round and he discourages them.
