So Green

We took our weekly trip down to the farm shop.

The world is at its greenest.

Should we press on and take a look at the Downs and the sea? I don't think it would do any harm but- no- it wouldn't be playing the game- and I'm no longer into rebellion for the sake of it.

Drama, who needs drama?

Ailz's godmother died. She was 92. And a good person. There's a sense in which we're all good- but with most of us it's not the adjective that springs first to mind; with Pat it is. I'm sure she was more complicated than anyone knew- because everyone is complicated- but the goodness shone.

Now that Pat has moved on the only person we know belonging to the pre-war generation is my mother.

I'm sorry for your loss. I understand what you mean about "good." Just the other day, a distant relative was talking about her mother, Irene. Irene was one of those people who just radiated goodness and her husband Wayne was much the same way. The world needs more like them.

People like Irene and Wayne don't make the news. They don't need recognition. Only people in their immediate circle know about them. (And the angels, of course.)
