"Good Weather"

 It rained yesterday morning and there was a murmur of distant thunder but it didn't affect the heatwave which has progressed majestically, getting hotter and hotter. On days like today I remember how G.K. Chesterton once wrote that he liked all kinds of weather except for "good weather".

 There are warnings out. These temperatures can kill. I don't think I'm in any personal danger but I don't enjoy being in a continuous muck sweat.
