poliphiloI should have made it clear; there are two of us on this vegan kick- and the other is Ailz who knows an enormous amount about nutrition and sustainability and all the ethics surrounding food and farming. She brings information to the table where I only bring emotion. We won't be eating expensive junk- except when we want to and in full awareness of what we're doing.
Vegan food needn't be costly. After all we're mainly talking vegetables and grains and so on. Besides, a lot of everyday convenience foods are vegan without advertising the fact: baked beans for instance. For breakfast this morning I had toast spread with marmite and baked beans on top. I'd have it again.
