May Bank Holiday. The bikers are making a hell of a noise as they tear down the A21 to Hastings. The air is warmer than it was, but with weather coming at us at a gallop from the west- and storms forecast for later. The bluebells are just starting to come into flower down the far corner of the bottom field. No sign of yesterday's ducks.

If I don't want the lower field to turn into a bramble patch I need to do something about it, like carry a pair of secateurs with me whenever I go for a stroll.

I was on a video-call with Ivy and Clover earlier. They were demonstrating a green screen app that lets them disappear themselves or parts of themselves. Ivy has been watching a video about the ghosts at Disneyland. "What," I ask, "Spooky rides?" And she says, "No, real ghosts," because apparently Disneyland is well haunted.

I've done the research and the ghosts at Disneyland include...

1. Uncle Walt himself, also his brother Roy- who have been seen wandering around the park as if inspecting it.

2. A red faced, red haired man, known as "Mr One Way" who gets into a car on the Tower of Terror, sits in an unoccupied seat but disappears during the course of the ride.

3. A sad little boy who is seen weeping at the exit to The Haunted House.

4. A white lady who looks Victorian and so probably pre-dates the theme park.

There are others.

Apparently a lot of people come to the park to scatter the cremated remains of loved ones. The staff are on the lookout for this and intercept most of them, but it's on the cards that a few will get through- and sometimes there are consequences. The weeping boy is said to be the result of a dump that succeeded.
