Ghostly Counsel

Two things that were said to me in a dream last night by a figure of authority.

1. "Father*,  they love you because you remember their ways."

2. "You know yourself in the light but not in the dark."


*This was an acknowledgement of my status as a priest of the Church of England. 

Bob Crow RIP

Can't say I paid him much attention when he was alive. (I don't use the London underground so what me worry!) But the tributes that came flooding in at his death were unignorable. The most generous came from Boris Johnson who had reason to hate him and the most grudging from Ed Miliband who might have been supposed to be on his side. Seems he was both principled and effective- a very rare combination in politics in any age- and a man who knew what he thought without having to consult a focus group.
