Bad Timing

I felt lousy yesterday and spent much of the afternoon in bed. Ailz says this wasn't a good time to be asking her what she'd do if I predeceased her. I said it arose naturally out of the conversation and- besides- what would be a good time? She said it cost her a night's sleep

I slept badly the night before last and Ailz slept badly last night. If only my mother could walk properly she'd be fitter than either of us.

Full Moon

When I look at the full moon in the sky- as I did last night- I can see it has a jolly smiling face (inclined slightly to the left) but when I look at it in maps or photographs I can't see the face at all. I wonder why. 

Two Good Things That Happened Today

1. I cooked asparagus for the first time.

2. I saw a green woodpecker on the lawn.
