May. 7th, 2007 10:00 amOur life was structured round Joe's comings and goings. Now that he's no longer coming and going we have to find a new framework. Ah well, as my father used to say- "Change is good for the soul."
I think today I'll clean out what was Joe's room. I'll bag up all the stuff he left behind and run a hoover over the floor. In the words of another of my father's favourite mottos (he liked it so much he had it taped inside the door of that rather handsome tool cabinet he never used)- "No fun like work."
