I thought I'd find out some more about the Mandelbrot set so I looked at what Wikipedia had to say. It was a baffling experience. The text was composed of English words I recognised and understood but in combinations that made no sense at all. There were also equations.
I read the first few sentences out loud to Ailz. "Do you understand that?" I asked. "Yes," she said. "It's calculus. Calculus is simple once you know how."
"I'm completely lost," I said.
"That's how I felt," she replied, "When you tried to explain concrete poetry to me."
