Joe and Victoria and Aria (who is five) are staying nearby for a week. Yesterday I went with them on a three mile hike through Ashdown Forest- starting and ending at the Gill's Lap (Galleons's Leap) car park. There was a steep hill to go down and a steep hill to climb- and according to the map we were following the valley in between contains both The North Pole and Eeyore's Gloomy Place. We arrived in Hartfield just as the tea shop at Pooh Corner was shutting down for the day.
