My grandfather Edward Stafford Allen, in uniform, holding his baby son, Richard- sometime towards the end of the Great War.
Edward survived the war.
Richard Stafford Allen died in action (aged 26) in Italy on 19 Nov, 1943 and is buried in the Sangro River War Cemetery. He left a wife, Bridget and a baby daughter, Jane.
