Lewis Carroll was as bad as J.K Rowling for handing out extra-canonical information about his stories. One of the things Becky and Karen had laid on for us at the party was a Wonderland quiz and I thought our team (Aria's team) would ace it because I more or less know the Alice books by heart- but a good percentage of the questions related to things that aren't in the books at all- stuff that Carroll must have confided to child friends in letters and so on. For instance: it turns out Humpty Dumpty has a wife and son- and their names are Frumpty and Numpty. I had never heard that before- but it must be authentic because Becky got it out of great thick book of Wonderland scholarship.
