poliphiloA noise woke me. It was probably Ailz turning over in bed- or something like that- but what I visualised was a cat jumping onto a windowsill at my elbow- mush as Marlowe does- only this wasn't Marlowe but a pure white cat with bristling fur. It gave me a bit of a shock.
We had a pure white cat once. He has a dozy, grumpy old thing- and totally deaf. We called him Count von Bubblyfun- in honour of a friend who used that as one of his pseudonyms- but also because bubbliness simply wasn't in his nature. I don't think the cat in my dream can have been him- unless he's undergone a complete change of character in the afterlife.
