Ailz was up at 5.00 and getting stuck into her poetry books.
Today is exam day.
Because she's disabled, Ailz gets to sit it at home. The invigilator arrived about fifteen minutes ago- a nice middle-aged lady, probably a former teacher, who apologised for taking two sugars in her coffee.
Before the exam began the invigilator searched the bathroom- to make sure we didn't have a copy of the Complete Works of John Keats hidden in the cistern.
And now the exam is underway and I'm skulking upstairs, trying to be mousey-quiet.
Good luck, Ailz.

Date: 2005-10-20 01:46 am (UTC)The OU is a wonderful institution, though I would say that, wouldn't I because I'm an OU tutor on the short course Start Writing Fiction. I just got my parcel today with the materials for the new presentation starting next month.
But then in February I become and OU student again as well because I've decided to embark on their Masters in Education.

Date: 2005-10-20 02:20 am (UTC)I'm very taken with the OU. We have been overwhelmed to the point of embarrassment by the ammount of assistance- financial and otherwise- that Ailz has received as a disabled student.
