Night To Remember

That was quite a thunderstorm. Close and continuous. Flash, bang, flash, bang. A near hit blew our electrics and set off next door's burglar alarm. The electrics came back with the flick of a switch but the alarm went on whining for a couple of hours.

Good question. I've no idea. There was this extra loud bang, all the lights went out and the sirens started wailing. It took us a while to work out what was going on.
