Frantic

 It was billed as frantic Friday- with cars clogging the roads as people rushed to get away- somewhere- anywhere- for Christmas- only it wasn't frantic at all- not on the route we travelled, which included a stretch of the M25 and a trek through north London. If anything things were quieter than usual.

Which raises the question- was the forecast  wrong or did it scare people into staying at home?

While we rushed to get home and here we intend to stay.

Mind you, with 20-20 hindsight about Brexit, 'here' might well have been Buonconvento..............

We have family scattered through the country- and My ex-wife's gaff in north London is where we get together.

I'm glad you had a nice drive. We avoid travel (especially airlines) around Christmas because of the madness.
