I've come to the conclusion that I prefer my literature on paper. I was on Amazon, looking at the latest collection of Kryon channelings by Lee Carroll and wondering whether to download it to my kindle- which would be quicker and cheaper- but settled on the hard copy because this is a book I may want to refer back to and re-read sections of- and I find that so much easier to do when I have tangible pages to riffle through.

I also prefer paper to electronics for my reading. I do have a NOOK and it is convenient for traveling and night reading without lights on. However, there is nothing like the heft and smell of a brand new book. When I look at my books, I feel an incredible sense of intellectual wealth that I do not feel when looking at a little rectangle of plastic.

In a print book, I can memorize exactly where a passage is in a book, how far through, which side of the page, where on the page. It goes into a spatial index. I can't do that with a scroll. I remember things better when I read them in three dimensions.
