poliphiloWe made a decision we weren't going to mow the lawn this summer and now it's a meadow, full of cowslips and clover and feathery grasses. How, and I'm feeling quite evangelical about it, is this not preferable to something that looks like a bowling green?
As a concession to what the neighbours might think we allowed Julia to cut a few strips to serve as pathways and to make it plain that not mowing isn't laziness but a choice.
