Fabrizio rings to ask where his mother went to school.

I say I don't know.

He asks if I want to talk to his mother and I say yes.

So she comes on and tells me the name of her school- Government Primary School in Ekola, Cameroon.

Then she puts Fabrizio back on and I tell him I now know the answer to his question...

Kids...maybe he just wanted a more authoritative answer than his mum's would have been (for him).

He thinks of us as his grandparents. Which means, of course, that we're his mother's parents and "must" have been around when she was a chid.
