All Is Calm...

People are still working, there's traffic on the roads, there's no snow to muffle sound and yet a Christmas hush seems to have descended on the world. I suppose it must be a subjective thing because I experience it every year, no matter where I'm living.

For the last few days I've been suppressing the urge to run off to the woods to escape all the frantic activity. And the Christmas muzak.
