A perfume description that I have loved for years included notes of mahogany and scotch "with a curl of the best lemon peel. How best? This lemon had its own summer home and a personal assistant. That's how best it is."

I can think of a more straightforward- and perhaps cheaper- way of smelling of scotch and lemon- but the mahogany defeats me.

Oh man, what were they thinking with those wigs...I wonder if this is what they will be thinking looking at our pictures a couple of centuries from now.
Well, at least nobody had to worry about thinning at the front then.

I don't know, some eras have better fashions that others. The 1920s were stylish and the 1970s were grotesque. I don't know about the present.
