A New Excuse
Nov. 27th, 2016 12:59 pmI had that dream again. It was our final rehearsal and I was waiting in the wings to go on stage. The play was either Hamlet- in which case I was playing Claudius- or Macbeth- in which case I had the lead. And I didn't know my part. It occured to me that if it was anything but Shakespeare I could adlib. Then I had a brainwave. I went up to the director and told him straight that I was suffering from dementia and could no longer be expected to learn lines.
