Thing about cats: they always want to be on the other side of any door they come across.

Ideally, they want to be standing in the doorway in an ecstasy of draughty indecision.

Whereas dogs always want to be on the same side of the door as you. Even when you're in the loo.

That's why I prefer cats. I find dogs too needy.

I find cats way more fun than dogs.

To be honest I find dogs annoying.

mine thinks he's huge
he opens the bedroom door wide
when he only needs a few inches.

if he had his way we've have cat holes going everywhere.
like my cat door in the kitchen.

my cats see the bathroom as a group activity
but the litter is in the upstairs one.
the dogs see the loo as a party
everything is a pack party .

Dogs are just too bouncy for me.

Loke has never been in my bedroom - I'm not actually sure he realises there's a room behind that door... I think it's best that way!

Ailz lets the cat sleep on the bed during the day. I'm not keen...

He can nap on the sofa with me, but I want my bed to myself. I'm a firm believer in having certain limits, regardless of how cute he is.

It's why we've replaced most of the doors in our house with draft curtains. Keeps the house insulated, and the cats can go where they want. If they want to walk back and forth under the curtain, they can do so until they wear themselves out.

Of course, we have a door that has a double curtain, to be doubly sure to keep drafts out, and one of our cats just sits in between the two.
