poliphiloI dreamed an episode from a John Ford film in which a team of Irish catholic priests (one of them played by John Wayne) had a cricket match scheduled against a team from England. The Englishmen had a star player capable of winning the game single-handed and the priests were planning to kidnap him and hold him prisoner until the match was over. The captain of the priests' team was having a hard time convincing his bishop that this would be the ethical thing to do.
