Microsoft have decided they're not making enough money out of me and have very drastically reduced the free storage space they're allowing me for my photos- and I've taken this as a prompt to go through the files and throw out the dead wood- there's a lot of it- and also to rescue things worth rescuing and post them to Wikipedia Commons.

Here's something I just rescued- a detail of a window in St Weonard's Church, St Weonards, Herefordshire. It's Victorian. but I think medieval fragments have been incorporated. Look at St Catherine with her wheel- surely some of that is 15th century work...



St Weonards is a tiny village. You have to traipse through a farmyard to get to the church. When you reach it it looks like this



Here's a view of the surrounding countryside. No leaves on the trees because this was taken last November.



Weonard, by the way, is pronounced Wonnard. History has forgotten exactly who St Weonard was- but tradition suggests he was a local hermit.

To be fair, unless you're at a paid level, I'd be reluctant to rely on any photo service - advertising's such a tenuous means of scraping out an income. That said, somehow or other, Flickr offers either 1TB or unlimited space for free (ad supported, natch), or there are paid accounts available, which also come with the nice perk of full stats on everything. Plus, there are a lot of relevant communities for all manner of photographic subjects - add a photo to one or two of them, and you can begin getting people to look at your work routinely. (In my case, that's primarily Bunny Lovers Unite, plus sometimes Springwatch et al)

I can, of course, not read "St Weonard" without hearing it in Peter Cook's voice (Princess Bride time).

I mainly take photos- apart from snaps of grandchildren of course- in order to post them on Wikimedia Commons. That's my showcase. I don't get any money out of it- but enjoy seeing my work turning up on other people's websites...

Ah, Princess Brride. They don't make 'em like that any more!

I've a very large archive of work stashed with them- and people do use it. I find my pictures cropping up on all sorts of websites.

Don't delete your pics - just uncouple onedrive from your own PC and save stuff down to your own PC.
