I was standing on Beachy Head yesterday, looking out to sea with the sun in my eyes.  It was like looking into another dimension.

I can understand why people take one more step. I could feel the pull.

I walked away in a state of dazzlement.

It's a spot love.

I've walked that coastal footpath so many times! :o)

It's so overwhelmingly beautiful. I'd say "sublime" only that's become a joke word.

First photo: It _was_ like looking into another dimension. I couldn't understand what I was looking at for a second or so.

As much as anything it's the cloud shadows on the water. The brain doesn't immediately know how to interpret them.

I don't know - looks like more of a painful rocky tumble than a comfortable fall into oblivion.

Well people do it a lot. I think some parts of the cliff are very sheer.

Amazing pictures. I hadn't realised how stunningly beautiful that coast is on a clear day.

I especially love that last photo with the tiny, tiny lighthouse far below. You're a lot braver than I am. Our cliffs are half the height of those and I still couldn't bring myself to go anywhere near that close to the edge.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I'd ever been to the top of Beachy Head before. If I ever did it couldn't have been on such luminous day or I'd surely have remembered.

Amazing. I wasn't prepared for just how beautiful it would be.

I featured it in my novel and then later went to visit it. I walked all the way up the hill from Eastbourne and decided I'd made a geographical booboo forcing the poor characters to travel that far :)
