The poor voted one way, the rich voted the other. The poor won because there are more of them.

Suddenly the future looks like a blank sheet. Lots of people- some of them not very nice- are getting their magic markers out ready to scribble, scribble, scribble...

The EU could collapse after this. So could the UK. Other countries will demand referenda. Scotland may demand a second vote on independence. Sinn Fein are saying, "This calls for a United Ireland".

Seems like Wales and England will stick together. They voted for Brexit by exactly the same margin.

Is this one of history's big turning points?

I wasn't expecting Cameron to go. I thought he'd have to have his fingers prised off the wheel. He is a bad man- a man without principles or ideas- and has been a very bad PM. The debacle was all his fault. He took a punt and lost.

The fact that there was a referendum now was Cameron's fault, but losing touch with the poor and angry citizens of the UK was down to Labour and their many years of London-centric policies. Far too much Hampstead and not enough Doncaster in their thinking.

It's nothing to do with temperament, it's to do with being powerless and having very few resources. G and I could be looking at a very miserable and poverty stricken old age. We've just lost another 1000 pounds on the insurance policy that was supposed to pay off our mortgage. Hopefully when the stock market steadies, that will reduce a bit, but we're going to have to make up the shortfall with our savings.

We've just retired and our local college relies heavily on EU funding, so there will be no chance now of picking up a bit of part-time teaching to supplement our income. As it is, I don't know whether the college get the £3 million they had been promised for the new vocational courses starting in September. So that's our local young people screwed.

Despite countries like Hungary joining the EU, Gwynedd still qualifies as one of the poorest areas in the EU. Will Westminster pick up the slack? Of course they won't because neither party needs our votes.

Oddly enough our district- Tunbridge Wells- also voted for Remain. I say oddly because I'd assumed it would be solidly pro-Brexit- but then again it's a wealthy area and the wealthy, understandably, tend to support the status quo.
