Not The Removals Men
May. 15th, 2016 10:03 amWoke up at six because someone was moving furniture around- or that's what it sounded like. Didn't investigate. All I wanted was to go back to sleep again.
Sleeeeep! Don't get nearly enough of it these days.
Came downstairs at eight to find a young starling in the kitchen. I suppose it must have been there all night, roosting- and had then woken at dawn. The useless cat hadn't managed to get at it (though there was evidence he'd been climbing on the units in a vain attempt) and it was hammering away at one of the windows. I opened the sliding doors and Ailz picked it up and carried it to freedom.
