Beep, Beep, Beep

Starlings have built a nest behind the tile cladding on the south-facing side of the house. When you walk underneath you can hear the little ones going "Beep, beep, beep"- regularly and mechanically- like a homing beacon.

Baby birds can be incredibly noisy and demanding. Their "feed me NOW" call is so insistent!

Curiously, that was something that struck me about this moment - they were so quiet! (I'm not an avian photographer, so I'm not well versed in bird behavior - my usual focus is rabbits)
