That's a really nice shot. I realise my latest photo-kink is blurry running people, is this indicative of some deepseated insecurity or does it mean I'm secretly in love with my mother or something? Please inform. Also, 'Pure Bathrooms' - what?
Do you know the painter L.S. Lowry? Lowry was from around these parts. My pedestrian looks just like one of his stick figures.
The background is fortuitous. I was concentrating on centring the little yellow car in the wing mirror. I was over the moon about the stick man and Pure Bathrooms. They are just right- and totally unplanned.
We have them over here, and I would have gotten one as a replacement for Cleopatra except they are expensive!! Besides, Persephone and I are getting along splendidly.
Sometimes when I'm driving (which I've done since 14) I remind myself that I am in a little rolling box! But it's so habituated for me that I don't fear it much anymore--as I've said before, I'm increasingly timid on interstates around rushing trucks (they are everywhere here), and so I avoid those superhighways.
I like this photograph very much. It's a delight to me that you and Ailz have this new way of seeing the countryside.
I have to ask if you're just very lucky with these photographs, or if there are hundreds that you don't put here in your LJ, saving just the best for us. :)

Date: 2005-07-20 08:38 am (UTC)And largely the product of chance. I wanted to get the Mini Cooper in the mirror, but I didn't know what else I was capturing until afterwards.
Pure bathrooms- who knows?

As if one goes in there to "rest." Right.)

Sometimes I wish I lived in England. Everything is so much--classier.

Date: 2005-07-27 12:13 pm (UTC)But this happens to be a lucky one-off. I got the picture I wanted at the first attempt and didn't need to take any more.
A few days ago I took a whole slew of pictures through the windscreen in the rain and they were all of them rubbish.
