poliphiloGeorge Martin was still alive when they made the documentary I watched last night. What a charming, gentlemanly person he was.
He was talking about how he visited his studio on Montserrat after the hurricane and found the keys of the piano overlaid with green mould (like the baize on a billiard table, he said) and realized that the whole place was snafu- because if the piano was in that state what must the electrics be like? He was being very philosophical about it and saying how everything has its season- and when it's over it's over and you can't go back.
Hmm, yes, just like the Beatles, we were encouraged to think.
