I Must Say I'm Happy To Have Moved South

Sam who owns what used to be our house in Oldham has posted a picture of what used to be our street covered in snow. Ah, how well I remember those tardy northern springs!

Down here we had thirty seconds of snow (literally thirty seconds) the day before yesterday.  It rained quite heavily last night but if it weren't for the puddles you wouldn't know it today which- like yesterday- has been cold but sunny.

Heh! Much the same as here, I suspect. I did notice a couple flakes drifting down during the afternoon, but the elegant dusting arrived after sunset. (Not quite the same as when I moved in here in Dec 2010, rather impromptu, after finding Heathrow completely closed)

Our snow arrived in the middle of a hail storm. Had I not been looking out the window at the right moment I'd have missed it.
