My mother is 94 today. "Too old," she says.

The weather has turned cold. I think this must be due to the "arctic plume" the forecasters have been warning us against.

Here's a picture of Ailz with her pot. It has its uses; if she's lying in bed it becomes a shelf to rest her kindle on.

I wish Ailz a quick recovery. That thing doesn't look comfortable (though, much more convenient than the old plaster cast I guess).

It's much more convenient. It has velcro fastenings and can be taken off if she needs a scratch.
