Two Years

We've been living at my mother's for two years now. The anniversary came and went while we were on holiday- and I forgot to notice it.

Two years, really? I think of you as having left Oldham just...well, perhaps a year ago. It's all so different with you in Kent, worrying about country matters and observing your mother's decline. But I love your travels and photos, they are a wonderful travelogue for places I will likely never see.

We have been going back to Oldham fairly regularly- but those visits are going to be fewer and further between. We both find that journey exhausting.
