We didn't do anything with the kitchen garden last year or the year before but we're looking to the future now (you really shouldn't stop doing until you're well and truly dead) and have made a commitment to grow some vegetables- and to that end Matthew (who will be doing most of the work)- turned up yesterday with atruck full of mulch- mostly wood chips and grass cuttings (the by-products of his industry)- which he's going to dig into the beds.

What sort of veg do you have in mind? I just planted a row of broccoli and cauliflower...experimental because I've never grown either.

At this stage I really don't know. I shall consult with Matthew.

You and me both! Let's compare notes. You should be able to get started in the mild south before we can.

Right you are. At the moment I don't know what we're going to be growing; I need to discuss it with Matthew.
