Almost too silly to be tolerable, but very well executed. They say you can't transfom a bad script with brilliant direction, but apparently you can lift a mediocre one.  Nice to see Edward Woodward giving us a parting wave- while sharing the screen with young actors on the way up- like Olivia Colman and Martin Freeman.

I think Woodward's presence (especially as a policeman) constitutes a sly Wicker Man reference.
