Ailz: (flicking through the pages of the catalogue) They do other kinds of shoes as well. Here, have a look.

Me: You've just got me to agree to buy a pair. If I was you I'd quit while I was ahead.

Erm, it seems I've misled you. It wasn't a Hotter catalogue at all- Ailz says- but a Cotton Traders catalogue.

I'm largely blind to brands.

Nothing wrong with Velcro. I've been wearing orthotic shoes with Velcro for almost ten years. The Velcro is renewed when the shoes go for heeling and soling
