The guys from the British Heart Foundation took most of the vintage furniture we were offering and very little of the modern stuff. One of them had 1916 tattooed on his neck. Ailz asked why and he said his family was Irish.

We took another car load to the charity shop. "This gentleman is a real bookworm" said one of the women to her colleague. I agreed that I was.

Odi and the kids have been here most of the afternoon. A year or two back I'd have been running wild with them; now I sit in my chair and attempt to referee. We sent them home with as much gear as could be fitted in the boot of the taxi.

Just visited 1914.org -- can't believe how false it seems, trying to force us to feel something we don't. We certainly don't need the government to tell us about the loss or pain. (sigh)

Can only imagine all your emotions as your things go here and there. I take photos to cheer me later: I guess it works (more or less). I like to tell myself I have too many things weighing me down... (Not sure if that helps, but what the heck.)

Rest as much as you can -- it must be exhausting.

(hugs)

Thanks.

Yes, it's tiring.

Governments should govern. And that's it. We don't want them preaching at us.

Sometimes getting rid of clutter can be cathartic.
