We almost spent the afternoon in Tunbridge Wells, but parking was going to be laborious and expensive and Tunbridge Wells is nowhere near the sea so- eenie, menie, minie- we went to Bexhill instead,

Considering this is the beginning of a Bank Holiday weekend Bexhill was very quiet. But perhaps holiday makers just don't flock to the English seaside any more. We had tea in the De La Warr Pavilion- a recently restored Deco masterpiece which has featured in Poirot.

I think it's almost certainly the same family.

I don't suppose there's a Deco building in Britain that didn't show up on Poirot sooner or later.

I recognized it instantly! We just finished watching the Poirot series and I was dazzled by all the great architecture. Thanks for sharing.

The architecture is one of the great joys of the series.

I recall the salmon sandwich I had in their cafe was rather good, too. ^_^ (We'd just been performing some range testing on the audio functionality I'd been working on for some keypads, in a nearby hotel's auditorium, so the boss shelled out for a light lunch)

I ought to get back down thereabouts sometime. Doubly so if I had some means of hauling cider back with me from Middle Farm.. oh, the selection there!

A choice of ciders? Middle Farm? Where exactly?

Middle Farm's near Firle, not a long way from Lewes. I so wish they ran some form of mail order!
