Kent Again
Apr. 14th, 2014 08:30 amThe further south we went the better the weather. The sky was blue over Kent.
(And is blue again this morning)
Yesterday evening I went out to the shed to say hello to our rabbits and a baby wild rabbit hopped off the lawn into the hedge.

Date: 2014-04-16 11:51 pm (UTC)If you're so inclined, you might consider putting down a camera trap somewhere - it might be quite good fun, by the sound of the activity of your local wildlife population. They illuminate using IR LEDs, so they don't disturb the nocturnals, whilst still providing surprisingly decent stills and/or video, depending on the model and configuration.
The babies are so adorable. ^_^ I've been seeing several youngsters around lately, probably no more than a month or two old, and they're inevitably less suspicious of non-rabbits approaching, though they'll all scoot if you lumber ahead.
It's always a happy indicator, for me. Rabbits and hares mean things are well with the land.

Date: 2014-04-17 07:28 am (UTC)I love seeing the rabbits. The bad news (for them) is there are foxes about. Yesterday evening I saw a vixen trot unconcernedly across the back lawn. Who needs David Attenborough,eh?
