I woke and there was a sparrow chirping loudly under the window.
"You see, you see, you see."
Well, that's what it sounded like.
What do I see? That it's nest-building time for birds? That Spring is here? Perhaps. But I couldn't not notice that there'd been a snow-fall overnight and, though most of it had melted, there was still a half inch of slushy stuff on the roofs of the cars.
I had a fearful headache. I got up, staggered around a bit, then went back to bed. It's fading now. If there's an upside to having a headache it's that you get such a dreamy, floaty sense of well-being afterwards. I may not be making much sense right now, but I 'm feeling really wonderful.

Here, all the crocuses have been pulped down into a mushy smear by recent heavy rain. Not that this is incompatible with it being spring, though - rather, a typical sign of it, I'd say.
