Here We Are Again

Last time we went home we just collapsed and flopped around, this time we got out and visited people. On our way back down to Kent we stopped for lunch at Alice's. Ivy has acquired a considerable vocabulary in the last couple of months. She knows everybody's names (I'm Pappa, Ailz is Granny) and the names of lots of animals and No and Yes and Thank you and plenty more. She's also beginning to put words together. Longest sentence thus far- "All done now, daddy"- meaning her father had finished in he bathroom.

My mother's latest carer did a lot of cleaning- for which I'm grateful. Matthew has taken down the damaged willow, opening up a new vista across the lower field.

How old is Ivy now? A child's speech development has always fascinated me as what they say first is such a reflection of their own personal world.
